ādilakṣmī –
sumanasavandita sundari mādhavi candrasahōdari hēmamayē
munigaṇavandita mōkṣapradāyini mañjulabhāṣiṇi vēdanutē |
paṅkajavāsini dēvasupūjita sadguṇavarṣiṇi śāntiyutē
jaya jaya hē madhusūdanakāmini ādilakṣmi sadā pālaya mām || 1 ||
1. Adi Lakshmi (The Primeval Goddess)
The one who has existed since the beginning.
Meaning: Salutations to the beautiful Goddess who is worshipped by the wise and the gods. You are the sister of the Moon and the beloved of Lord Vishnu. You grant liberation (Moksha), speak sweet words, and are praised by the Vedas. Living in a lotus and filled with peace, you shower us with good qualities. Victory to you, the beloved of Madhusudana (Vishnu); please protect me always.
dhānyalakṣmī –
ayi kalikalmaṣanāśini kāmini vaidikarūpiṇi vēdamayē
kṣīrasamudbhava maṅgalarūpiṇi mantranivāsini mantranutē |
maṅgaladāyini ambujavāsini dēvagaṇāśrita pādayutē
jaya jaya hē madhusūdanakāmini dhānyalakṣmi sadā pālaya mām || 2 ||
2. Dhanya Lakshmi (Goddess of Grain/Food)
The one who provides nourishment.
Meaning: Salutations to the destroyer of the sins of the Kali age. You are the essence of the Vedas and were born from the Ocean of Milk. You are the auspicious one who lives within sacred mantras. You provide food and prosperity to the world. Worshipped by all the gods, you sit upon a lotus. Victory to you, the beloved of Madhusudana; please protect me always.
dhairyalakṣmī –
jaya varavarṇini vaiṣṇavi bhārgavi mantrasvarūpiṇi mantramayē
suragaṇapūjita śīghraphalaprada jñānavikāsini śāstranutē |
bhavabhayahāriṇi pāpavimōcani sādhujanāśrita pādayutē
jaya jaya hē madhusūdanakāmini dhairyalakṣmi sadā pālaya mām || 3 ||
3. Dhairya Lakshmi (Goddess of Courage)
The one who gives strength to face life’s challenges.
Meaning: Salutations to the daughter of Sage Bhrigu and the power of Vishnu. You grant quick results and expand our knowledge. You remove the fear of worldly life and wash away our sins. Your feet are the refuge for saintly people. Victory to you, the giver of courage and the beloved of Madhusudana; please protect me always.
gajalakṣmī –
jaya jaya durgatināśini kāmini sarvaphalaprada śāstramayē
rathagaja turagapadādi samāvr̥ta parijanamaṇḍita lōkanutē |
harihara brahma supūjita sēvita tāpanivāraṇa pādayutē
jaya jaya hē madhusūdanakāmini gajalakṣmi rūpēṇa pālaya mām || 4 ||
4. Gaja Lakshmi (Goddess of Royalty and Wealth)
The one who brings status and abundance.
Meaning: Salutations to the powerful Goddess who is accompanied by elephants (symbols of royalty). You are the golden one who destroys misfortune and increases our virtues. You are praised by the scriptures and grant all fruits of labor. Victory to you, the beloved of Madhusudana; please protect me always.
santānalakṣmī –
ayi khagavāhini mōhini cakriṇi rāgavivardhini jñānamayē
guṇagaṇavāridhi lōkahitaiṣiṇi svarasaptabhūṣita gānanutē |
sakala surāsura dēvamunīśvara mānava vandita pādayutē
jaya jaya hē madhusūdanakāmini santānalakṣmi sadā pālaya mām || 5 ||
5. Santana Lakshmi (Goddess of Progeny/Family)
The one who blesses with children and a good lineage.
Meaning: Salutations to the one who rides the eagle (Garuda) and enchants the world. You are an ocean of good qualities and well-wisher of the universe. Your feet are worshipped by gods, demons, and humans alike. You are the melody within the seven notes of music. Victory to you, the protector of family and beloved of Madhusudana; please protect me always.
vijayalakṣmī –
jaya kamalāsani sadgatidāyini jñānavikāsini gānamayē
anudinamarcita kuṅkumadhūsarabhūṣita vāsita vādyanutē |
kanakadharāstuti vaibhava vandita śaṅkara dēśika mānyapadē
jaya jaya hē madhusūdanakāmini vijayalakṣmi sadā pālaya mām || 6 ||
6. Vijaya Lakshmi (Goddess of Victory)
The one who ensures success in all ventures.
Meaning: Salutations to the one seated on a lotus, who shows the right path and blossoms our wisdom. You are worshipped daily with vermillion (Kumkum) and music. You were praised by Adi Shankara in the “Kanakadhara Stotram.” You grant success in everything we do. Victory to you, the giver of victory and beloved of Madhusudana; please protect me always.
vidyālakṣmī –
praṇata surēśvari bhārati bhārgavi śōkavināśini ratnamayē
maṇimayabhūṣita karṇavibhūṣaṇa śāntisamāvr̥ta hāsyamukhē |
navanidhidāyini kalimalahāriṇi kāmita phalaprada hastayutē
jaya jaya hē madhusūdanakāmini vidyālakṣmi sadā pālaya mām || 7 ||
7. Vidya Lakshmi (Goddess of Knowledge)
The one who provides wisdom and skills.
Meaning: Salutations to the Goddess of learning (Saraswati form) who destroys sorrow. You are adorned with precious gems and have a peaceful, smiling face. You give us the “nine types of wealth” and the wisdom to use them. Your hands are always ready to grant the wishes of your devotees. Victory to you, the giver of knowledge and beloved of Madhusudana; please protect me always.
dhanalakṣmī –
dhimidhimi dhindhimi dhindhimi dhindhimi dundubhināda supūrṇamayē
ghumaghuma ghuṅghuma ghuṅghuma ghuṅghuma śaṅkhanināda suvādyanutē |
vēdapurāṇētihāsa supūjita vaidikamārga pradarśayutē
jaya jaya hē madhusūdanakāmini dhanalakṣmi rūpēṇa pālaya mām || 8 ||
8. Dhana Lakshmi (Goddess of Prosperity)
The one who provides material wealth.
Meaning: Salutations to the Goddess who is surrounded by the rhythmic sounds of drums and the holy blowing of the conch. You are worshipped in the Vedas, Puranas, and Epics. You show us the path of righteousness (Dharma) while providing us with the wealth we need to live. Victory to you, the beloved of Madhusudana; please protect me always.

Important message to Dharmikas : Please visit your nearest Devalayam and chant mantra of that Devata atleast 108 times daily in that temple. When Devata becomes powerful, it will automatically protect Dharma.
